Snapshots
A quick glimpse into what I see on race weekends. Whether it's at the track, in a hotel, or walking around town there are moments in every race weekend that never fail to make me fall deeper in love with motorsports.

O' Ward's Car Inspection
Every driver's car in the IndyCar series undergoes inspection. Teams submit parts for approval and gather it all back up to head to their garage once completed.

A Quick Chat With McLaren
One of the best aspects of IndyCar is the access fans receive. It's very normal to be able to stop and chat with teams all up and down the pit and paddock for a few minutes. These McLaren team members were incredibly gracious and even agreed to be in my first photo of the weekend.

Packing Up The Hauler
After the races end it is all hands on deck to get the garages packed up and ready to hit the road. A crucial step of this includes lifting the cars into the upper level of the hauler for transport.

Heading To The Pits
Often the best view of any IndyCar can be found as the teams are making their way to the Pits. Teams pull, wheel, and drag all of the cars to their pit boxes in preparation for practice or race sessions.

Rosenqvist & Rossie On The Move
One surprising aspect of an IndyCar paddock is just how common it is to see a driver walking around. Here Alexander Rossie and Felix Rosenqvist are wandering through the paddock with a fellow McLaren team member.

Zooming Past
A large number of drivers and team members utilize electric scooters as a mode of transportation each weekend. It was very common in Portland to see Pato zooming past you as he made his way around the paddock.

Off To The Race
The sheer number of people it takes to make sure each car is properly looked after. Here we can see a few team members waiting for the McLaren car to be inspected.

IndyCar Portland 2023
In 2023 IndyCar returned to the West Coast for another year of spectacular racing.

Inspection Time
Every Car undergoes technical inspections when racing in IndyCar and with such open paddocks you can often stop and say hello to the IndyCar officials as they go about checking each car.

Armstrong's Car Inspection
The urge to just touch the front wing of Marcus Armstrong's was strong. Luckily for Chip Ganassi, I resisted.

Women In The Paddock
The best thing about being in the Paddock is getting to meet so many amazing people. Each with their own story and passion for racing

Tire Time
Yes if you ask nicely and stare longingly at the stacks of wheel rims a very nice Firestone Tire person may ask you if you would like a photo with one. It was also the only Polaroid I had of myself from the entire weekend so it is very special to me.

IndyCar Golden Hour
IndyCar Weekends are incredibly long and it was not uncommon for us to be at the track late into the evenings.

Race Weekend Life
Race weekends are not always very exciting or comfortable. We learned our lesson and next year we are packing blankets to sit on.

Chip Ganassi Tent
The views you get when walking through the IndyCar paddock always amaze me. The access you get as a fan of this sport is unmatched.

Final Adjustments
The most hectic part of the IndyCar weekend was right before Sunday's race. All Teams were out adjusting the cars and making final diagnostics checks.
